Here’s the Google 3D Maps with added motion blur (experimental) and plain 2d mode. Installer and Sources are available.

Google 3D Maps made with Adobe AIR and Papervision 3D

Now I’m thinking about upgrading sources to the fresh release of Papervision3D which has 40% performance growth.

It doesn’t work with the Beta 3 of AIR:

This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported. Please contact the application author for an updated version.

thanks for the air file, but i can’t get it to work on either beta of air - but there are issues about which version you’ve installed and in what order. is there a chance you can update the application to work with the latest beta. i’d love to have a look at it.

Hi Rost,

Are you planning to create a new version of this app, for the release version of AIR, and latest version of Papervision?

Is there a way to make it work as a standalone flash file?

Currently there’s no way to use the application. Thanks for your help.

Mat, drix ??” I am planning to update the App for the most recent version of AIR, and maybe for most recent PV3D too (GreatWhite, or other ??” any suggestions?).

Actually, I’ve recompiled application already and it works with AIR 1.0 release.

But I noticed one issue which breaks some functionality. When I’m dragging the map, it is not moving interactively with mouse as it was in previous version (now it moves to new position only after mouse button release event). Probably it’s not such a core function (app is working), but it makes a big part of the application’s feel. So I decided to resolve this new issue first, then upload the new version.

I suggest there’s something new HTML component behavior, so I will research and fix it to bring the dragging functionality back.

Sorry for inconvenience, and thank you for your interest and patience.
