Well, as far as fake “convert one word to fake nonsense” scripts go, its all right. I suggest a couple changes:

when you hit “Z”, you get “Z” back, making my name “Zkuzushika”. Even though its not a real word, the first assembly, “Zku” is awkward to say in japanese (english too, now that i think of it.)

if you’re trying to trap weeaboo myspace kiddies into your web of lies, follow these handy tips:

1) japanese is both simple and very complicated. randomize the keypresses with the phonetic entries so that you don’t get the same phonic twice. This will confuse them enough to believe you really know japanese.

2) never pair two consonants together, and never leave one consonant all by itself. there are a few exceptions (Tsu, Chi, N), but if your not sure, its best to avoid it entirely. its not like were going for accuracy here.

oh, and i forgot to mention it with my last comment: i found a bug:

if your typing a comment in this comment box, go back to type words in t he japanizer, and then go back to type more comment, it wont let you type. you have to click on the name or e-mail field and THEN click back to comment for it to accept anymore typing.

Useless crap. In Japan, they’d just say your name, and write it in katakana. For example, Ann would become ?‚???? or ?‚???????, Bob would become ?????–, and Christopher would become ?‚????????‚??????•?‚?. There’s no special mumbo jumbo to it.

Japanese names are built from concepts; they’re not a translation of certain syllables (eg sakura = cherry blossom, mamoru = protection). If you want a real japanese names, learn some kanji with meanings you like, find their readings, and combine them as you find aesthecially appeasing.

But then again, the “real way” of translating your name is too much effort for an internet user.

Someone actually speaks Japanese - thank you for such detailed info. I really appreciate your attention to this very tiny app. I haven’t expected so mush people will be interested in this toy. So now I should actually consider creation of advanced version. Arigato!
